2021 So Here We Are

2021 So Here We Are

So here we are, nearing the end of 2021 and it has been another strange year and seems to have passed by pretty quickly! Obviously it hasn't been without its issues with lockdowns, rule changes, struggles for businesses and negative effects on lots of peoples mental health to name a few.
But we have also seen some positives in that we had another glorious summer, restrictions eased and we were able to spend time with loved ones again, schooling returned to normal in September even thoughnow that seems to have been overshadowed again as we approach Christmas with uncertainties and we can only hope that some normality remains so we can close in the year!

For Saz & Sew its been another positive year and I thank each and every one of you for your support!
This year I have released 19 exclusive fabric designs!
Best In Show - Lots Of Love - Retro Rainbows - April Showers - Pastel Pineapples - Into The Wild - Snippy Snappy - Ice Lolly Sprinkles - Under The Sea - Pastel Leopard - Rush Hour - Witches Brew - Wild Weather - Otty & Friends - Forest Floor - Jurassic Giants - Leaf Hunt - Snow Capped - Mono Christmas
Towards the end of March I had a rebrand, with a whole new logo and colour scheme thanks to the lovely Charlotte @prints.from.oz
Since the beginning of 2021 I have had orders for around 146 pairs of Leggings, 45 Jumpers, 42 Long Rompers to name a few with over 230 orders through the website which is absolutely amazing!
I have had successful market nights online and attended the local market in Bowness-On-Windermere at the end of July which was great to be able to meet and chat to customers in person!

I have ordered over 112m of our exclusive fabrics!
I made the decision to change fabric supplier at the beginning of the year and those who know me know how particular I am about the quality of the fresh Terry fabric I use! This change was for the better as the fabric is still lovely and soft and stretchy with a minimum order of just 1m per design instead of 5m per design which means I don't have to commit to 5m of a design if its not as popular as I might think!

I have been so lucky to have had fantastic support from many brand reps over the last year, even more so this last group I have who have been really supportive even though I have been less active on social media due to pregnancy.

I have introduced a few new products over the year but found that there was quite a lot of options for me to keep up with. I decided on the last fabric release I would try something new and limit products in each design, so for one design there would be 4/5 different products but the products wouldn't be the same for each design. I have of course had requests from customers for products that aren't available in a certain fabric to which I am always happy to help, so going forward if this is something you'd like to query please don't hesitate to get in touch!

As always I like to try and keep Saz & Sew eco friendly and our reusable and compostable mailing bags have gone down really well! I will be carrying on with my scrap busting items too, scrunchies, Alice bands, reusable face wipes etc.

Heading into 2022...

As some of you will know already, we are awaiting the arrival of our newest member of our family which is why the website is currently closed.
I am intending to reopen the website sometime in February 2022 with a release of 4/5 brand new exclusive fabrics for Spring!
This will be something that I am going to try out after the Autumn release went down really well. Every season there will be a new drop of exclusive designs, as usual I am keen for our designs to be worn all year round but I am aware that some people like seasonal clothing too therefore there will be 1/2 seaonal designs along with all rounders in each release alongside some of the forever designs that are here to stay!

On that note I am going to wrap this up and thank you all again for your amazing support.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
